Description
The Univox Funky-Filter MU-1500 is an amazing envelope filter / auto-wah.
Sounds range from gutteral filtering to ring-mod-esque to synth-like sounds. There are a boat-load of filtering effects available from this unit.
Good for bass, guitar, keyboards or anything else for that matter!
The circuit is exactly the same as the famous MuTron III. These were actually licensed from MuTron ('Licensed under MuTron patent no. 3,911,776' is printed right on the pedal).
There are two knobs for PEAK and VOLUME. Also has 4 switches DRIVE (up, down), RANGE (high, low), FILTER (high pass, band pass, low pass) and POWER (on, off).
Made in Japan.
Requires 2 x 9-volt batteries or a 9-volt DC power adapter with a 3.5mm plug with a positive tip.
This particular Univox Funky-Filter MU-1500 is in good condition for it's age. Has some normal signs of wear with some blemishes and scratches. After examining some of the components on the circuit board, we think that this particular pedal was made somewhere between 1976 and 1978. Does not include box or manual. Pedal only.
